Governance

For community impact

Our approach to governance ensures safe, high quality care that meets the needs of local communities. COORDINARE’s ten board members bring a broad range of expertise across primary care, community leadership, education, research, health policy and management, and business.
Our collaborative commissioning processes enable partners to identify needs, design, deliver, and evaluate services together. Together we can ensure our organisation sustainably achieves its aims for the region.

Thank you Dianne Kitcher

We would like to acknowledge our former CEO, Dianne Kitcher, and express our deep gratitude for her invaluable leadership, and unwavering dedication to support of the primary health system model throughout her seven-year tenure between July 2015 and January 2023.

Ms Kitcher led the start-up of COORDINARE, and has ensured its focus and growth, particularly through the challenging past years of droughts, fires and the pandemic. Her commitment to our vision and purpose leaves a benefitting legacy to our organisation, the PHN network more broadly and ultimately our communities.

Our guiding Councils and Community Advisory Committee

COORDINARE has established four advisory councils that each report to the Board. The councils assist the organisation to set strategic direction, evaluate outcomes of services and provide advice regarding the design of new services to meet the needs of local communities.

Clinical Councils

The Illawarra Shoalhaven Clinical Council and the Southern NSW Clinical Council each provide support and advice on clinical issues relevant to primary care and helps COORDINARE to understand and address health needs within local communities, including access to services and service gaps. All members of the Clinical Councils are health professionals who practice within the area.
